BIOL 100 - Principles of Biology

A survey of the cell, inheritance, ecology, human biology, the diversity of life and evolutionary theory. Emphasis is given to understanding central concepts and to the process of science. Attention is also given to the relationships between biology and Christian faith and practice. It provides foundational understandings for liberal studies/arts and fulfills the general education requirement in natural science. Science majors should take BIOL-111 and BIOL-121. A complementary BIOL-100L laboratory course is available for the general education requirement for a natural sciences lab. Lecture, 45 hours.
