Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership provides an overview of the fields of organizations and environments, leadership and organizational development. The major consists of courses that explain issues and ideas related to successfully working in organizations.
This major is designed to provide expansive knowledge of the leadership within an organization from a systems perspective. Classes such as management, organizational behavior, marketing and accounting provide the foundation for advanced classes in diversity, small groups and teams, change management, analysis and business strategy. An organizational issue or concern is researched and analyzed to help students focus on practical information to develop a strategic plan that benefits the organization and the community. Together, all the courses provide a practical guide to leadership issues in a nonprofit, for profit, faith based and public sector organizations. An ethical perspective is threaded throughout the major. The major is designed to provide a solid leadership and organizational background for graduates to use in seeking responsible employment or promotion.

- Two years' postsecondary work experience.
- Need a minimum of 6 transferable units, below 6 units can submit a petition
- Note: need 60 units before starting the major
Program Student Learning Outcomes
1. Students will articulate the practical applications of leadership theories, management principles and business studies through working with applied business problems, projects and case studies.
2. Students will identify, evaluate and synthesize information by utilizing the most appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods, tools, devices and modalities for effective leadership and decision-making.
3. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between organizational leadership, business administration and the Christian faith through their ability to discern, reason and create resolutions to ethical issues.
4. Students will present and discuss management theory and business practices through effective verbal and nonverbal communication in group settings.
5. Students will demonstrate logical reasoning, and critical analysis to develop and implement business concepts and management practice in an effective manner through proper written language.

Credit-Bearing Grades
Students must earn a C- or higher to receive credit for their organizational leadership courses. Exceptions: Students may receive credit for BIB-314 and BIB-451, as well as any other general education or elective course, with a D -.
