ATH 913 - Plyometric Training for SportsCredits: 3 Plyometrics refers to exercise that enables a muscle to reach maximal strength in as short a time as possible. Such exercises usually involve some form of jumping, but other modes of exercise exist. Learn how plyometrics works, why they are used, and how to integrate them into a complete training program. With sound training principles, plyometrics offers the mechanism by which an athlete can start quicker, change direction more rapidly, accelerate faster, and improve overall speed. Developed for teachers and coaches of junior and senior high school students.
