ELA 921 - Content Comprehension (6 - 12)

This course is ideal for teachers with ESL, special needs, and low reading level students. Students in all subject areas struggle with reading. This online, standards-based course focuses on a variety of strategies for content area teachers to help students read and understand their curriculum. Teachers will learn practical, hands-on strategies for helping their students comprehend course textbooks. Course curriculum includes sample student work, custom reading guides, tools for reading assessments and resources for finding reading material to enhance their curriculum.
