HED 904 - Childhood Obesity: Healthy Choices RuleCredits: 3 The biggest contributors to developing childhood obesity are soda consumption, junk food, television, video games and computers. This course focuses on the current legislation to combat the obesity epidemic in your state's schools. Schools must adopt policies that restrict access to less nutritious food choices and provide students with healthy food items. School personnel have to work together to promote implement and asses a well-designed school-based plan to improve health and wellness through nutrition, physical activity, and health education. This course will include a wealth of information and resources for students, parents, teachers, and administrators to put schools on the right track.
