MAT 919 - Early Number Concepts (prek - 1)Credits: 3 Experience how this standards-based methods course offers Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First grade teachers a guide for their students which focus on counting, comparing and patterns. All of the manipulative materials and activities included in this class have been developed to provide teachers with concrete, pictorial, and abstract experiences in early number concepts to help students construct an understanding of number (number sense.) Over 100 focused tasks directly tied to specific National and State content standards are provided as a resource. The assignments may be completed with or without student participation.
