Imagine the ability to collect ideas, lesson plans, activity resources, educational links, and news on a simple web-based platform. Curate these resources easily in boards that you create and title according to a filing system that fits exactly the way you organize. Welcome to Pinterest for Teachers, a course that is designed to give you the freedom to search for exactly what you want to learn. Connect with others who teach the same grades or subjects and curate at a pace that fits your individualized needs. Pinterest for Teachers thoughtfully introduces Pinterest as an effective technology tool that enhances student learning. This course will apply the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS), the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), and the Common Core State Standards within the individual lesson plans and projects assigned for course completion. NOTE: Required materials must be purchased separately. After completing this course, you will possess a refined set of tools, including your self-created Pinterest graphic to post, selected information from Dr. Betty Garner's research, and Pinterest applications for your lesson plans that can help struggling students. Most importantly, you will recognize and appreciate your own ability to select, curate, and organize pins that are important to you and your professional development. Join like-minded educators and be ready to use your Pinterest account to grab a valuable lesson plan at a moment's notice.
