MAT 920 - Primary Geometry Concepts K-3

This standards-based course offers primary teachers lessons that focus on geometry concepts including spatial sense, attributes of shapes and structures (both two- and three-dimensional), composition and decomposition of shapes, positions and relationships between positions, and geometric language. Concrete, pictorial, and abstract experiences are provided. The hands-on course consists of a text with lessons and activities which teach for understanding, manipulatives, and assessment of student learning through suggested questioning techniques.
