This course covers the history of psychology and can be divided into three main sections: 1) the centuries leading up to the founding of psychology in 1879, ranging from ancient philosophy to 19th century studies in physiology 2) the founding of psychology as a laboratory science and its early and most influential theorists, and 3) psychology's explosive growth in the 20th centuryand recent developments and applications.
