NURS 750A - Tertiary Prevention Practicum3 Units This course is a supervised practicum in a primary/acute care setting with emphasis on care of clients of all ages requiring tertiary prevention. The integration of knowledge related to primary, secondary and tertiary prevention is applied and evaluated as a basis for promoting and maintaining healthcare. Students work directly with a nurse practitioner and/or physician preceptor in a primary/acute care setting. (One hour clinical conference per week.) 135 hours. Prerequisites: NURS 745A ; May not be audited; Students may take up to 2 semesters to complete the course.
