PHYS 130 - University Physics I

This calculus-based course is designed for students with majors in the engineering and physical sciences. The course focuses on kinematics, dynamics, conservation laws, simple harmonic motion and mechanical waves, and heat and thermodynamics. Topics include statics, equilibrium of regid bodies, free-body diagrams, pericle and rigid body kinematics, linear and angular motion, impluse and momentum, static and dynamic friction, elasticity, fluid properties, laminar and turbulent flow and fluid statics. Lecture, 45 hours.
MATH-210 or MATH-220 (Required, Previous). | Take PHYS-130L (Required, Concurrent).
