SW 395 - Studies in Domestic Violence

This course is designed to give the student insight into the problems of domestic violence in American society. The students will examine the causes, symptoms and results of domestic violence on families and the community. They will become acquainted with strategies for working with victims and abusers, and how to access community and professional resources available. The course uses videos, presentations from professionals in the field, review of literature, plus lecture and course handouts.
