PPP 758 - Intervention Based Instructional Support: Development of Academic Skills

This course teaches the school psychology student how to interpret academic and cognitive data within the contexts of biological, cultural, and social influences, including complex trauma and stress and language acquisition and retention. The course will also focus on the importance of learning and developmental theories for understanding assessment. The role of multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and evaluate interventions is also covered. Students will learn the importance of multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement academic interventions, promoting student engagement, and positive school climate.
