SPEC 733 - Literature ReviewCredits 3 In this course, students will begin to lay the foundation for their action research project through the examination of an individualized topic relevant to the student's inquiry into a problem of practice by completing a literature review. This course will help students develop the needed knowledge and skills to define their topic; research and identify a wide cross-section of relevant theoretical, research, and practitioner-oriented sources and journals in the chosen field; identify key thinkers, debates, and the theoretical framework of a topic; compile, analyze, and critique their own relevant reading list; follow proper citation form; and develop a critical point of view.
