ADM 779 - Building Community in Schools and SocietyCredits 3 This course provides students with the opportunity to reflect upon their own values around the topics of culture, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, SES, language, and disability. Students will learn from historical to current education philosophers to help shape and define their values. The history of American education will also be presented. The course will be centered around the concepts of inclusion, belonging, dignity, and community. The courses purpose is to give students the opportunity to be proactive in their schools and organizations by creating and implementing an action plan during their course of study. May not be audited.
