THEO 708 - Introduction to Bible, Christian Theology and Culture

This course in Bible, Christian theology and culture provides an introduction to the study of the Bible as a unified whole. It will explore the overarching themes and theological messages found throughout the Old and New Testaments, and how they relate to one another. Students will learn how to interpret the Bible in its original cultural and historical context, and how to apply its teachings to contemporary issues. The course will also examine the major theological moves and figures within the Christian tradition, and how they have shaped the way we understand the Bible today. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper appreciation for the unity and diversity of the Bible and be equipped with the tools to continue their own study and exploration of its rich and complex themes.
