COM 395 - Text and Performance

As a study of performance as a critical tool for understanding human communication, students will choose a variety of texts to read aloud and perform in front of the class, including poetry, fiction, memoir, and famous speeches. The class will also collaborate on a staged reading for the public. This is a great choice for anyone interested in teaching, theater, or understanding the performative nature of creating meaning.
