CHEM 210 - Chemistry for Allied Health

An integrated survey of fundamental concepts in biochemistry, organic, and general chemistry, focusing on areas with clear relevance to pharmacology and human physiology. General chemistry concepts are introduced in supporting roles as necessary. Attention is given to mathematical fundamentals such as the calculation and interpretation of concentration. Concrete examples of the application of chemistry and biochemistry in medicine are used to illustrate relevance. Lecture, 45 hours.
