GEOL 151 - Earth Science

This course presents the concepts of the major geological processes affecting the physical earth and helps students appreciate the earth and understand environmental concerns. Topics include the geosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and solar system. This course focuses on the interactions between physical and chemical systems of the Earth such as the tectonic. cycle, rock cycle, hydrologic cycle, weather and climate. This course fulfills the general education lecture requirement for natural sciences. A complementary GEOL-151L laboratory course is available for the general education requirement for a natural science lab. Lecture, 45 hours.
