BIOL 235 - Microbiology for Health Sciences

An introductory course for health science students emphasizing the basic principles and concepts of microbial anatomy, classification, physiology, and their practical applications. Study includes microorganisms, particularly bacteria and viruses. Attention is given to the morphology, physiology, taxonomy, host parasite interactions, infectious agents, and methods of transmission and control are also discussed. This is a Pre-Nursing course. Lecture, 45 hours.
