ICS 300A - Short Term Study Abroad/Study Away A

This course prepares students for cross-cultural engagement, either domestic or international. The course will examine critical historical, social, political, and religious events which shaped the current societal or national context. The goal will be for students to understand how the society or nation has been impacted by significant domestic or international events or trends, including, for example, immigration, colonization, religious movements, and global or regional politics. The course is designed for student planning to participate in a short-term study away/study abroad program and should normally be taken in conjunction with ICS-300B.
Instructor consent required. May not be audited.
