Mariachi Ensemble is a performance-based instrumental and vocal ensemble dedicated to the study, rehearsal, and public performance of traditional and contemporary mariachi
repertoire. Emphasis is placed on stylistic authenticity, technical development, ensemble cohesion, vocal integration, and culturally informed performance practice. Students will develop proficiency in mariachi instrumentation (violin, trumpet, guitarra, vihuela, guitarrón, and voice) while engaging in collaborative music-making at the collegiate level.
