Overview
This program is designed for candidates who plan to assume technology leadership roles in a school setting. Participants in this program will explore the application of technology in education and develop an expertise in using technology as a tool to enhance teaching and learning. A variety of the most current and efficient uses of technology will be explored and informed by the personal experiences of Christian faculty. Coursework focuses on current learning theories and instructional strategies for the effective use of technology in the classroom setting. Candidates will understand the implications of the digital world in relation to ethical and moral uses from a distinctive Christian worldview. The program culminates in courses that blend personal values, digital citizenship, and innovation in educational technology. Candidates should express an interest in the educational use of technology. This degree requires a minimum of 30 units of coursework.

- Letter of explanation if GPA is under 2.75
Program Student Learning Outcomes
The Educational Technology program is aligned and consists of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) Standards and the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers (NETS-T).
- Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
- Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETS-S.
- Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.
- Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices.
- Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources.

Program Length/Semester Starts
The program can be completed in 6 semester terms or 24 months depending on Innovative Project completion. New cohorts begin each semester depending on availability.

Candidates may choose from two pathways: innovative project or thesis.
Innovative Project Pathway
*Students register for both Innovative Project courses in the same semester; ET-796 is an In Progress (IP) course which is completed in the subsequent semester.
Thesis Pathway
*Courses for thesis pathway are registered for over two semesters, with EDRH-796 an IP course into the program's seventh semester.
