Overview
The general emphasis in the kinesiology program is designed for students to pursue entry-level careers in the fitness industry, such as personal training and corporate fitness, as well as in strength and conditioning. Students will have a solid preparatory foundation for entry-level positions in the fitness industry with the possibility of management in this industry, including owning a small business.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Communication - articulate concepts, theories, and applications clearly and accurately in various forms of communication in the student's professional area.
- Content Knowledge - comprehend content-specific knowledge from the kinesiology foundations.
- Professional Standards - identify and recognize how to use professional standards in the student's professional area to promote the professions.
- Movement Concepts and Forms - understand how to integrate movement concepts and forms into a broad range of physical education, sports, and athletic activities and environments.
- Assessment - select and administer appropriate physical education, sports, and athletic activities and environments.
