HIST 310 - Advanced Latin: Grammar

Recommended prior coursework: HIST 120 Recommended prior coursework: HIST-120. This course will finish the basics of Latin grammar, vocabulary and syntax and reinforce the material with readings and prose composition. While the objective is a comprehensive understanding of the Latin language, this goal is considerably augmented by readings and understanding of the Roman context. As a result, students will spend substantial time contextualizing passages from important Latin authors and attempting to gain insight into Roman culture and ideas.
