MIN 740 - Preaching I

An introduction to the field of homiletics, including the study of its oral, rhetorical and hermeneutical traditions with a brief exploration of future directions in homiletics. Students explore the biblical basis for preaching, including the motivation and content of communication to the people of God in the church and outside the church. Student sermons are videotaped, evaluated by peers and analyzed by the instructor.
