PPC 732 - Professionalism, Ethics, and Legal Mandates in School Counseling

This course provides opportunities for candidates to have opportunities and experiences to display an understanding of professional codes of ethics and current legal mandates, as well as an awareness of the range of legal issues, such as, statutory, regulatory, and case law affecting the delivery of pupil services.  Candidates will have the opportunity to access information about legal and ethical matters, understand pertinent federal and state laws that regulate the delivery of pupil services, pertain to pupil and family rights, and affect pupil and family access to community services.  Candidates will have to meet 25 hours of practicum in this course.
