PPC 735 - Academic Development

The course provides candidates with an understanding of academic development throughout pk-12 schools. With an emphasis on linking the relationship between academic performance and college and career goals. This course will focus on the areas of high school graduation requirements (for traditional, foster, and homeless students), A-G requirements, post-secondary planning, matriculation from high school to 2- and 4-year universities, and NCAA and NAIA requirements. This course will also introduce candidates to academic tiered systems of support, individual student planning, and goal setting.
