PPP 748 - Practicum Level Fieldwork in School Psychology I

This course consists of practicum level fieldwork in California schools under the supervision of a credentialed PPS school psychologist. Practicum is minimum of 200 hours in a school placement. Candidates are provided individualized and supervised field experiences that give them an opportunity to practice skills described in their current coursework. Emphasis is placed on successful completion of professional competencies, development of interpersonal skills, appropriate professional conduct and demonstration of the candidates continuing development of theory, skills and knowledge related to the responsibilities of a school psychologist. Successful completion of practicum may take more than 200 hours per semester. Candidates will be given more time if the required skills are not demonstrated successfully. Proof of liability insurance is required.
