PPP 750 - Professional Practice: School Psychology

Credits 3
This course teaches the implications of the history and professional role of the school psychologists. It includes the knowledge of schools as organizations and the role of school psychologist as a change agent;  maintaining effective supportive learning environments for all children; and the knowledge of general and special education; technology resources; and evidence-based school practices that promote academic outcomes, learning, social development, and mental health. Students will learn how to, apply professional disposition, responsibility, adaptability, and initiative in their role as a school psychologist. The importance of self-care is emphasized.
