BIB 751 - Old Testament Theology and ExegesisCredits 3 Students will be challenged to articulate a position regarding the central message of the OT. The class will explore the viability of one particular synthesis of the OT as presented in God's Design and compare it to other approaches taken. The course will present an introduction to the history of the discipline and to current trends in theological research. This course combines elements of the usual "Old Testament Theology" usually a part of the Master of Divinity program, and "Old Testament Exegesis and Theology" as a component of the Presbyterian Ordination Preparation process. The "Exegetical" portion is primarily embedded in the Research Paper Assignment.
