Recommended prior courseswork: MATH-210. Introduction to mathematical optimization with applications to business and finance. Graphical and numerical solutions, using the simplex method and linear programming. Duality, transportation and assignment problems, network optimization, dynamic programming, integer programming, nonlinear programming, simulated annealing, introduction to game theory and decision analysis. A brief introduction to queuing and inventory theory.
MATH-140 or MATH-210 (Required, Previous).
