MATH 420 - Real Analysis

Recommended prior coursework: 300 level or higher MATH coursework. Students study logic, set relations, functions, sequences, continuity, differentiation and an introduction to the Riemann Integral. An emphasis is placed on developing the ability to handle definitions, theorems and proofs. A course goal is the deepening of the student's understanding of the logical foundations of single-variable differential and integral calculus.
