LIT 180H - Introduction to Literature and Applied Humanities

This course provides students with an introduction to the applied humanities and literature, pairing public service with the theoretical and analytical tools of literary study. In addition to engaging the academic study of short stories, novels, poems, and drama, students will lead bi-weekly reading sessions with the community at pre-designated sites (such as elderly care, after-school programs, homeless shelters, hospitals, or other non profits in the Fresno area).
