LANG 312 - Community Language Immersion

Must a person learn language in a classroom only? If not, how can we learn a language from and in the midst of a community? This course introduces students to methods for acquiring a language in a community context. Emphasis will be on how to develop and implement a plan for befriending people, learning from them, and practicing words and phrases that facilitate real life communication.
