SW 482 - Field Instruction in Social WorkCredits: 8 Recommended coursework: SOC 480 Field instruction is the culmination of a student's social work education. Each student is placed in an agency mutually agreed upon by the student, instructor and field agency. The student works in the agency as a social worker for 32 hours per week for one semester. He or she performs such tasks as individual counseling, working with groups as a co-leader, making referrals, writing social assessments and managing a small caseload under the supervision of an MSW social worker. Prerequisite: SW-400, and PSY-310 or SOC-461 Graded Credit/No Credit. May not be audited.
