Overview
The arts administration major provides students with knowledge and administrative skills in the fields of visual and performing arts. This major is for students who are wanting to enter visual and performing arts fields and work in administrative roles. Students may choose from three paths to focus on such as visual art, theater or music while at the same time, learn about the unique administrative skills required for the visual and performing arts fields. The arts administration major may also be paired with minors or other majors which help provide unique, specialized knowledge making students attractive to potential future employers.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Practical and Theoretical Knowledge in Arts Administration:
- Students will know practical and theoretical principles and concepts in the area of Arts Administration.
- Communication in Arts Administration:
- Students will articulate communication skills in the area of arts administration.
- Arts Administration Skills and Methods:
- Students will be able to use appropriate arts administration tools and methods.
- Moral Reasoning:
- Students will demonstrate awareness of Christian beliefs and values.
- Industry Professionalism and Service:
- Students will value professionalism and learn how to make connections in industries which utilize arts administration skills and knowledge.
