Overview
The Master of Arts in Leadership Studies is an interdisciplinary program designed to create leaders who can serve as change agents in organizations and communities. The M.A. in Leadership Studies is an action-oriented program created for individuals passionate about the connections between the individual in organizations and communities. The program's focus is on innovative ways for leaders to change the way they see the world and to therefore transform the lives of individuals and the work of organizations and communities. The unique combination of multidisciplinary academic subjects and relevant practical applications addresses challenges for leaders who want to make a difference in the world. The integration of ethical leadership and creative approaches to leading change adds value for organizations and communities.

•Letter of intent providing educational professional experience (1 paragraph) why candidate wants to complete program (1 paragraph) and professional goals (1 paragraph).
•Two current professional reference forms
•Official Transcripts verifying BA/BS degree with minimum 3.0 GPA
•Letter of petition if GPA is under 3.0 and submittal of academic writing sample.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Conduct scholarly inquiry through integrated application of leadership, organizational behavior, and change theories that demonstrates best practices in organizational leadership.

Evaluate key leadership practices within the context of a Christian perspective and construct their own philosophy of leadership as it relates to decision making and self-conduct.

Analyze and design collaborative leadership approaches, which includes value of diversity and inclusion to promote the common good as it relates to different human, organizational, and community-wide systems.

Evaluate the unique challenges and opportunities of organizations, constructing recommendations to implement change as it relates to addressing the ethical, legal and human resources needs of the organization and community.

Program Length
This program can be completed in less than two years, in five semesters with classes meeting once per week and online.
The required courses in the leadership and organizational studies program must be taken at FPU in a cohort model unless waived by Program Director.
